Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
1. Overview
PillDecode ("the Service") is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Search Queries: When you search for a medicine, your query is sent to our server-side proxy to retrieve drug labeling data. We do not log, store, or track your search queries.
No Personal Data: PillDecode does not require registration, login, or any form of personal identification. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
No Cookies: PillDecode does not set any first-party cookies for tracking or analytics purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Hosting: The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, browser type, timestamps) as part of their infrastructure. Please review Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
Tailwind CSS CDN: The Service loads the Tailwind CSS library from a CDN. This may result in standard HTTP requests to the CDN provider.
Google Fonts: The Service loads the Inter font from Google Fonts. Google may collect standard usage data. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details.
4. Data Retention
Since PillDecode does not collect personal data or search history, there is no user data to retain or delete. All search interactions are stateless and processed in real-time without persistent storage.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the Service infrastructure. All connections are served over HTTPS to ensure data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted. API keys used by the Service are stored securely as server-side environment variables and are never exposed to the client browser.
6. Children's Privacy
PillDecode is an educational tool and does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Your Rights
- Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data to access, modify, or delete.
- You may stop using the Service at any time without any consequences.
- If you have concerns about third-party data collection (Cloudflare, Google Fonts), you may use browser privacy tools, ad blockers, or VPNs.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
